Lions In Sight of California and Nevada, the Hayward Silicon Valley Lions Club, and The Eva Rosa Trust

Dr. John Paul Demshar Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: The Lions In Sight Board of Directors and the Eva Roza Trust established this scholarship to celebrate the life and career of Dr. John Demshar. He was a 1977 graduate of the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry (UCBSO), past clinic professor at UCBSO, and a long time Lions In Sight board member. He volunteered for the Flying Samaritans and helped establish a Stockton homeless clinic where he gave eye exams.

Ms. Eva Roza moved to San Francisco from the Midwest during the 1960s. After getting her California Real Estate Brokers license she earned a Bachelor's degree (Magna Cum Laude) from San Francisco State University. She started her own Real Estate company, which managed over $50 million in mortgage serviced securities. Ms. Eva Roza established a trust to focus on women’s and children’s organizations, and the poor.
