Linda P. Griffin President
Linda has been involved with Lions in Sight (LIS) since 1994 and her first clinic mission was to Lithuania with the founder of LIS, Wayne Cannon. She has held many positions in Lions in Sight including Area Director, Vice President and Secretary.
The Lions Global Cause of Vision has been her passion and her major area of volunteering. She has served as president of both Lions blind centers in District 4-C3. She currently serves as Secretary of the Lions Center for the Visually Impaired (LCVI), Trustee for the Lions Eye Foundation of CA/NV (LEF) and a board member of the Lions Vision Resource Center. She is a trainer for Lions KidSight.
Linda serves on the Board of Directors for the Volunteers of Vacaville (VOV), a non-profit created to support the Braille Project at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville.
Linda is also involved with the Walnut Festival Association in Walnut Creek. She is a past president and currently serves as Secretary.
Linda is a member of the Walnut Creek Ygnacio Valley Lions Club and has been a Lion for 40 years. She remains active at the district, state and international level of Lions.
Her commitment to vision programs is based on the motto of Lions in Sight of “Bringing the World from Darkness to Light.”

Art Low

Dr. Low received his O.D. from the Berkeley School of Optometry in 1975 and ran a private practice in Campbell, CA, until 2017. He’s been a member of Lions Club International from 1975-present, serving in the West San Jose-Campbell Lions Club as president and other officer positions. Dr. Low is currently a board member for the Healthier Kids Foundation, the Chair of District 4C-6’s Sight Conservation Committee, and a Trustee for the Lions In Sight Foundation (LIS). Through LIS Dr. Low has conducted vision clinics in Mexico, Panama, Dominican Republic and Viet Nam.
Kush Bodhan
Treasurer
Khush Bodhan, a CPA since 1981 and real estate broker, spent his career working as an accountant with Deloitte and Touche in London and San Francisco. From Deloitte he owned and operated the ASK Accountax and ASK Real Estate corporations.
Mr. Bodhan joined the Amador Valley Lions Club in 2004. During that year he actively worked to rescue the Lions Center for the Blind in Oakland from closure. Mr. Bodhan, along with Michael Cohen, Dave Gregerson, and help from Ed Cossart and Lyle Morris reduced the Blind Center deficit from $200,000 to $6,000. He was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 2005 in acknowledgement of his efforts. Mr. Bodhan’s interest and support for LIS occured after a LIS clinic trip to Vera Cruz, Mexico. He served as LIS President in 2012.
James Verghese
Secretary
Lion Dr. James Varghese is a dedicated leader and humanitarian who served as District Governor in Lions International District 4-C3 during the year 2021-2022. He also served as the Lions Multiple District (California) Treasurer. His tenure was marked by impactful local and international charity projects, including medical missions and eye clinics. A strong team player, James has been recognized for his outstanding service by both local communities and Lions International. Lions James received a Doctorate from Lions International University in 2022 as well as receiving the US President's Award for his outstanding work. His commitment to improving lives embodies the true spirit of Lionism.
Tamara Sternod
Immediate Past President
Tamara Sternod, of Reno, NV, is the immediate past president serving the LIS board 2022-2024. She has been a Reno Host Lions Club member since 2006, and a member of Lions in Sight of California and Nevada since 2008. She has taken part in many international and local clinics. She has worked at Sams Club In Reno, NV, as the Optical Manager for the past 22 years. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, camping and being outdoors with her husband and dog.
